I love your YouTube channel, especially the tips and the DIY stuff. I am wondering if you have any brilliant ideas for a DIY LID for an 1.25 qt. IMUSA mug (besides plain aluminum foil)?
Hi John, I have been watching your videos over the last weeks and like what you are doing. I really like you lightweight but also low cost practical approach, and how you still keep your eye on why you are out there, to have fun.
Just wondering if you have any more information on any of your DIY gear. Especially the six sided tarp and the pack. For the tarp having the dimensions of the lenght, width and taper and tie out points would be handy. Thanks and keep up the great work! Jim
i watched your tent video and i have an old kiddie tent that i would like to turn into a new lightweight backpacking tent. It has two poles but i have two hiking poles from walmart. any ideas?
I've been very impressed with your videos. Can you please contact me : eb1chuck@gmail.com I want to talk about your super lite backpack that you made. I'm 74 yrs old and need to get something very light ... my old body can't take the weight anymore.
Your Ultralight back pack is very nice. If you have any information on how I could make one, I would really appreciate it. Thanks Jay Smith Vancouver, WA

Hey, I was watching your video on your backpack and tent and it's been getting me really excited to attempt one for myself! You mentioned somewhat of a tutorial for both, but I haven't been able to find either. If you could message me when you got a chance that would be greatly appreciated!
Hah! Brilliant! Way to be resourceful! Hadnt thought to go 'second-hand' for the materials! Duh...now getting the down shouldnt be a major problem or $$$. Keep up the great work, your vids have been pretty much exactly what I've been looking for with regard to DIY lightweight camping gear projects. I also agree w Jordan Lee above, any sort of blueprints or design notes/measurements might be handy for these projects so if you got them and feel like sharing, please do!

You might try using aluminum flashing it can be crimped like a muffin liner and is more durable than regular aluminum foil.
